Reinstating Frowlesworth Road entrance for use as primary access

Q: Is use of this access council prohibited? Or is it simply awkward & dangerous?

  • Broaden visibility splay

  • Extend sightline

  • Safer pulling-in zone

  • Enhance set-back distance

  • Increase verge-side safety

Risk mitigation from added activity

The only village access without road-markings

Council and road planning departments

  • Designate a high-risk area

  • Re-plan speed signage

  • Vehicle Activated Sign (VAS)

  • Speed calming zone

  • Road markings

Space management:

Gate adjustments

Eliminate the spatial requirements of the traditional swing gate

  • Remove the current outward opening gate

  • Replace with bi-fold or sliding gate

  • Change the gate-swing inward (or sideward)

  • Install Automated system for roadside brevity

  • Level out the recess space (possibly another category)

Propose to broaden passing space at Lievres Orchard pull-in

Lievres Orchard

Lievres Orchard & Paull’s Farm, were each part of the former Goodacre Home Farm before division by JDG

Paull’s Farm access (opposite Lievres Orchard  at Frowlesworth Road)

Lievres Orchard  (opposite Paull’s Farm at Frowlesworth Road )

These two opposing accesses correspond to a connecting pattern of asymmetry across Frowlesworth Road.
Proximity formed historically in relation to paths laid out between working-parts of former farmland
